Sustainable Shaving from the Brand Previous Page
In 2021, MÜHLE launched the first safety razor with a focus on meeting the needs of all users, regardless of gender. This journey began in 1945.
Founding in 1945: Otto Johannes Müller established the business after returning from the war. He created the first shaving brushes and introduced the MÜHLE signet.
New Generation in 1965: Hans-Jürgen Müller took over the company, which had grown to 40 employees. MÜHLE started exporting its products to 36 countries.
Expropriation in 1972: Under pressure from the German Democratic Republic, Hans-Jürgen Müller sold the company, and MÜHLE became a state-owned enterprise.
Taking Leave in 1987: After being rebranded, the business focused on manufacturing brushes solely for the state. Hans-Jürgen Müller became a self-employed brush maker.
New Beginning in 1990: With the changes in Europe, Hans-Jürgen Müller regained the family business, trading as Hans-Jürgen Müller KG while keeping the MÜHLE signet.
Celebrating 50 Years in 1995: MÜHLE faced challenges post-reunification but gradually gained new customers and rehired former employees.
Boom in 2006: With the dawn of a new millennium, MÜHLE expanded its offerings to a full range of wet shaving products, establishing the MÜHLE brand.
