In 2021, MÜHLE introduced the first safety razor with inclusivity in mind, catering to all users regardless of gender. This journey began back in 1945.

Founding in 1945 Otto Johannes Müller established the business after returning from the war. He crafted the first shaving brushes and created the iconic MÜHLE signet.

New Generation in 1965 Hans-Jürgen Müller took over the company, which had expanded to 40 employees. MÜHLE began exporting products to 36 countries.

Expropriation in 1972 Under pressure from the German Democratic Republic, Hans-Jürgen Müller sold the company, turning MÜHLE into a state-owned enterprise.

Taking Leave in 1987 After rebranding, the company produced brushes solely for the state. Hans-Jürgen Müller pursued independent brush making.

New Beginning in 1990 With the emergence of a new Europe, Hans-Jürgen Müller reclaimed the family business, trading as Hans-Jürgen Müller KG while retaining the MÜHLE signet.

Celebrating 50 Years in 1995 MÜHLE faced challenges post-reunification but gradually attracted new customers and rehired former staff.

Boom in 2006 As a new millennium dawned, MÜHLE expanded its range to offer a full selection of wet shaving products, solidifying the MÜHLE brand's reputation.
