In 2021, MÜHLE introduced the first safety razor designed with the needs of all users in mind, regardless of gender. This journey began in 1945.

Founding in 1945: Otto Johannes Müller established the business after returning from the war. He created the first shaving brushes and developed the MÜHLE signet.

New Generation in 1965: Hans-Jürgen Müller took over the company, which had grown to 40 employees. MÜHLE started exporting products to 36 countries.

Expropriation in 1972: Under pressure from the German Democratic Republic, Hans-Jürgen Müller sold the company, leading MÜHLE to become a state-owned enterprise.

Taking Leave in 1987: After rebranding, the company produced brushes exclusively for the state. Hans-Jürgen Müller became an independent brush maker.

New Beginning in 1990: With the reunification of Europe, Hans-Jürgen Müller regained the family business and operated as Hans-Jürgen Müller KG while retaining the MÜHLE signet.

Celebrating 50 Years in 1995: MÜHLE faced challenges post-reunification but gradually attracted new customers and rehired former employees.

Boom in 2006: The dawn of a new millennium saw the expansion of the product range to include a full array of wet shaving goods. The MÜHLE brand gained prominence.
