In 2021, MÜHLE launched the first safety razor with the needs of all users in mind, regardless of gender, marking a significant milestone in their sustainability journey. This journey actually began back in 1945.

Founding in 1945 Otto Johannes Müller founded the business in 1945 after returning from the war. He started by making the first shaving brushes and designing the iconic MÜHLE signet.

New Generation in 1965 In 1965, Hans-Jürgen Müller took over the company, which had grown to 40 employees. MÜHLE started exporting its products to 36 countries, solidifying its presence in the global market.

Expropriation in 1972 Under pressure from the German Democratic Republic, Hans-Jürgen Müller was forced to sell the company, turning MÜHLE into a state-owned enterprise.

Taking Leave in 1987 After being rebranded, the business focused solely on manufacturing brushes for the state. Hans-Jürgen Müller decided to become a self-employed brush maker at this time.

New Beginning in 1990 With the dawn of a new Europe, Hans-Jürgen Müller was able to regain control of the family business and operate under the name Hans-Jürgen Müller KG, keeping the MÜHLE signet intact.

Celebrating 50 Years in 1995 Despite the challenges faced after reunification, MÜHLE slowly but surely regained momentum, attracting new customers and rehiring former employees.

Boom in 2006 As the new millennium began, MÜHLE expanded its offerings to include a full range of wet shaving products, propelling the MÜHLE brand to the forefront of the industry.
