In 2021, MÜHLE made history by launching the first safety razor designed for all users, regardless of gender. This journey traces back to 1945.

Founding in 1945: Otto Johannes Müller founded the business after returning from war. He created the first shaving brushes and designed the MÜHLE signet.

New Generation in 1965: Hans-Jürgen Müller took over the company, which now had 40 employees. MÜHLE's products were exported to 36 countries.

Expropriation in 1972: Under pressure from the German Democratic Republic, Hans-Jürgen Müller sold the company, turning MÜHLE into a state-owned enterprise.

Taking Leave in 1987: Following a rebranding, the business focused solely on manufacturing brushes for the state. Hans-Jürgen Müller continued as a self-employed brush maker.

New Beginning in 1990: With the dawn of a new Europe, Hans-Jürgen Müller reclaimed the family business and began trading as Hans-Jürgen Müller KG, maintaining the MÜHLE signet.

Celebrating 50 Years in 1995: Struggling initially after reunification, MÜHLE slowly gained new customers and rehired former employees.

Boom in 2006: As the new millennium began, MÜHLE expanded its offerings to include a full range of wet shaving goods, solidifying the brand's presence.
